Berlin has developped to be a metropol like London and Paris.
Berlin  has  two citycenters, city West in west Berlin and 'Mitte' in east Berlin.  In the east  you will find rather urban areas with a vide  range og characteristics. More convertional and 'respectable' are the areas around Charlottenburg, Wilmersdorf, Steglitz and parts ofSchöneberg in south and west
